Bronze Medalist and Most Sociable Awardee

It is always a joy for every parents to see their kids excel in school. I am just an aunt but I am so happy and proud on Macky's achievement this school year much more on his parents especially his father who works really hard to provide for his needs. Aside from his achievement in sports as a member of the school's  basketball varsity,  Macky is a Bronze Medalist and Most Sociable Awardee on their recognition day this morning.

Congratulations Macky and thank you for making us proud once again. Keep it up and always remember the lessons and the responsibility that comes with that award. God bless you and we love you!

Chess Champion

When Macky was about three years old, his Papa Rollie taught him how to play chess. Macky find the game very interesting and very entertaining at that time before he was hooked into playing basketball. He would beat almost everybody in the house sometimes including his Papa and his Tito Bren. He would oftentimes, bring his chessboard outside the house and invite somebody to play with him in the street.

His father's effort  has somehow didn't go to waste since Macky has became a Champion in the school's Chess competition when he was in Grade 4. Everybody in the house was so happy about his achievement especially his father who is so  proud of him.

Higher Exam Results

Macky's 2nd Mastery Examination at school has just concluded. I was so happy about his final grades on the first grading period because most of them are  higher compared before and he was even included in the honor  list as Top 6. 

 

I was a bit doubtful if he will make good in his mastery exams because I didn't see him study nor  review his lessons. There were actually times that I scheduled to review him  but he just set the time and agreed to it but it didn't materialize because either he was already sleeping or my hands are full with Bella.

Nevertheless, he still got higher results on his exams and even got a perfect score in Science.

Our little man is very motivated to study and really works harder; you might want to ask why? Because he is so eager to have his MP5; the bet we have if he reaches the third rank. lol... Keep up the good work Macky. We are so proud of you!

Honor List

I went to Macky's school last Friday to attend the PTA Meeting and also to get his card. I was so happy to know that Macky belongs to the Top 10 of his class.

Macky's  highest grade for the first grading period is 90 while his lowest is 86. I just noticed that he needs improvement in Character Building especially in the areas of  Courtesy,  Cleanliness and Orderliness but he got A's on Honesty, Industry and Self - Reliance.

Truly our  Macky Boy has worked  really hard. He was asking for an MP5 player and I am planning to give it to him as a reward if he reaches the TOP 3 spot on the next grading period. Keep it up Macky! Your papa and mama will be very happy and proud of what you have achieved. Way to go!

Speech Competition Champion

 The month of August has just concluded which means that the Philippine Celebration for the "Buwan ng Wika" will also be over. Part of the commemorative celebration are the different speech contests every school is conducting including Macky's. The International Christian School of Davao celebrated the "Buwan ng Wika" for the elementary grade last August 31,2011.

The event's contests were participated by all elementary levels from 1st grade to 6th grade. Macky represented the 5th grade in the Talumpati (Speech) Competition. Upon hearing that he will be joining the contest, I was so excited to attend to show him my support but he don't want me to be there because he said that he will be ashamed if he will not win. So I just didn't push it. But look what he has got!

He Won the Contest!

Macky was declared champion in the Talumpati Competition. It was somehow unbelievable since we couldn't catch  him studying or memorizing his piece. I even told him to perform in front of the family so we can critique but he didn't took me  seriously. He also has a bonus news for us because  his teacher told him that he is the Top 6 of the class for the first grading of the this year.

We were so happy with the news  and I  immediately informed my brother that his son is really doing well at school. I let Macky read his father's reply through SMS. He  said that he is so happy and proud of Macky. He really showed extra effort to let his father feel that all his hard work was valued. His Tito Brendan will be treating him to Jolibee this coming payday as a reward for his efforts.

Again Lang, Congratulations! We are so proud of you  and very happy for your achievements. Keep it up!
